Additional Info

CVM is classified as a Critical Conservation Breed, CVM is a light colored fleece with badger markings. CVM was developed by a neighbor of the family developing the Romeldale breed. There was controversy as to CVM being a distinct breed or a colored version of Romeldale. When the Pendleton Wool Company closed, there was no motivation to keep Romeldale pristine white. Colors in Romeldale became more common. However, CVM is still considered a white sheep with black “badger” markings.
